Merry Makers Fair – Day 1

1031 Fresh Radio is proud to support the Merry Makers Fair!

Merry Makers Fair is a series of craft fairs aimed to connect seasoned makers and inspire new ones within the Forest City. The event is Sunday, November 11th AND Sunday, December 16th at the Covent Garden Market.

This is a 100% local, 100% handmade craft fair showcasing the finest artisans the Forest City has to offer!

Note: they will be collecting donations for VETS Canada in recognition of Veteran’s Memorial Day on November 11th.

What makes Merry Makers Fair different from other craft shows is their Rising Maker Program. As business owners, they understand how expensive and competitive it can be to be accepted into a craft show. Table fees can be upwards to $100, a considerable cost for a new handmade business. A portion of the tables at the Merry Makers Fair are set aside for Rising Makers; handmade businesses with limited show experience that have been operating for less than 1 year. The table fee for the Rising Maker is covered by one of our many generous Community Sponsors. This provides the Rising Maker with low cost/low risk exposure to London consumers. “A free table at a handmade fair could be the break a new maker needs to take their business to the next level on their path to success. It’s important to us that we help make that happen” – Ashley Burt.

About Merry Makers Fair: Founded in 2016 by Ashley Burt and Jasmine Lai, the Merry Makers Fair mission is simple; to inspire and encourage up and coming small, 100% handmade businesses and connect them to conscious consumers in London. Ashley and Jasmine are long time friends who both started their handmade businesses in London in 2014. Jasmine owns Cocoaloe Naturals, a line of all natural, bath and body products and Ashley owns Wooly Maple, handmade clothing and accessories.
