Public servant John Radclive has a dirty job: hanging society’s rogues and murderers. Come hear tales of London’s first (and second) hanged man Cornelius Burleigh; notorious cop-killer Marion “Peg Leg” Brown; Kate Gardner, the only local victim of serial killer Dr. Thomas Neill Cream; and many others. What holds them all together is a date with the gallows, either as spectacle or spectator.
