$175 per golfer or $700 for a team of four
Funds raised through this year’s event will directly support Merrymount’s Crisis Residential/Respite Program, one of our most critical programs. The Crisis Residential/Respite Program offers a quality, licensed residential program for children from birth to their 13th birthday. This program, in conjunction with our Family and Child Support Program offered throughout the day, offers 24-hour continuous care for children experiencing mental health challenges, or those at risk due to precipitating factors within the family (trauma, toxic stress, attachment concerns etc.).
It costs $274 per child, per night to deliver care through our Crisis Residential/Respite Program. This includes our costs for experienced staff to work with children dealing with mental health issues, intake coordination, case management, transportation for families that require it, meals and snacks for the children while they are in our care and any other related costs.
Thirteen of our 18 available beds are fully funded through the government and other revenue sources, with the remaining five beds generously funded by philanthropy. By supporting the Annual Merrymount Golf Classic, you are helping the 2,500 children and 8,000 families every year who rely on Merrymount’s services.
