Shine The Light On Woman Abuse Month

SHINE THE LIGHT ON WOMAN ABUSE

AWARENESS MONTH

This year London Abused Women’s Centre’s Shine the Light Campaign is going virtual!

The goals of the Shine the Light on Woman Abuse campaign are to raise awareness of men’s violence against women by turning communities purple for the month of November. Purple is a symbol of courage, survival and honour, and has come to symbolize the fight to end woman abuse.

On Friday November 13th, it’s Wear Purple Day!

This years event will look a little different with listeners having to social distance and most are working from home. We want to see how YOU show your support by dressing in purple from the comfort of your own homes with proceeds going towards the London Abused Women’s Centre.

Wear purple to show your support to abused women and girls and bring attention to the issue of men’s violence against women. Take a photo or short video clip of how you are going purple. Share your participation, use the hashtag #ShinetheLight and tag @endwomanabuse.
