We at the East Elgin Community Complex are excited to announce that we are hosting our 2nd annual ‘Hockey For A Chance’ Charity Hockey Tournament, in support of Jumpstart in Elgin County.
For those that may not know what Jumpstart is, it is an organization that helps support youth in organized sport and recreation programs, who may not otherwise have the opportunity due to financial constraints. In Elgin County, hundreds of boys and girls are supported in their recreation, however, our demand for support exceeds our allotted funds. So, we turn to community support from events such as this to help us provide recreation opportunities to as many boys and girls as we can.
Our Hockey For A Chance tournament will be hosted on Saturday, April 21st from 8:00am to 8:00pm, here at the East Elgin Community Complex. For a minimum $40 donation to Jumpstart, individuals will be placed on one of 8 teams, up to a maximum of 15 players per team, and get to play other evenly matched teams on event day. There will also be activities for the whole family, including crafts, games, recreational activities, and a silent auction.
